Baby Bumpdate and Exciting News!

We've had a very tiring week at the Elmore household; Silas has gone rogue. He has begun waking up at 5:45-6:00 a.m. for no.good.reason. One of those days he even woke up and began to throw a massive tantrum, first over wanting some grapes and then demanding to watch T.V...I caved over the grapes, but we had some disciplining over the T.V. tantrum. I don't know why he's waking up so early and I don't know what to do to make him sleep longer. I welcome anyone's suggestions!

Now, on to the fun stuff....

How far along: 17 weeks

Total weight gain: 6 lbs

Maternity clothes: No. Rocking my regular uniform in this week's pic...gym clothes!

Stretch marks: None

Sleep: Doing well and only up one time a night, but the early morning tantrum/wake up calls from Silas are wearing on me!

Best moment of this week: Organizing Silas' toys to get rid of some clutter (at least until the baby comes) and finding toys we haven't played with in months. We literally played "Noah's Ark" with his stuffed figurines for an hour yesterday!

Miss anything: Adequate sleep!

Movement: Baby has been much more active this week, with little pops when I sit down at night...or try to sleep during Silas' nap time.

Food cravings: Sweets! I want anything made with sugar....

Anything making you queasy or sick: I've had a few episodes of not feeling well which I think may be a drop in blood pressure if I'm standing up for a long time, especially in the mornings.

Have you started to show yet: Yes, but I definitely don't look as pregnant in this picture as I did in last week's.

Gender: I have a feeling I may know, but it's only a 50% chance. Our small group talked about paying for us to have an ultrasound early because the suspense is killing everyone.

Labor signs: No

Belly button in or out: In

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy, but definitely cried one time,  probably from our sleep issue.

Looking forward to: Starting a fun, new, business venture!

Business?! I'm excited to announce that I have signed up to sell Stella and Dot! If you've never heard of it, Stella and Dot is boutique style jewelry and accessories sold online and/or in at home trunk shows. I've been thinking and praying about it for awhile and decided I wanted to try it for a few reasons:
1. I want to spend more time at home with Silas and the new baby.
2. I want to spend more time with ladies that I adore and meet some new, sweet, friends.
3. I like the company's product and their sense of community.
4. Free jewelry never hurt a pregnant lady's swagger ;)

I'll be contacting people individually about all of the great benefits of hosting a trunk show, but if you'd like to see what Stella and Dot is all about, then here is my website and I'd love to hear from you, answer any questions, and book a show with you!!

Have a great weekend!

Baby Bumpdate: 16 Weeks

Hoping everyone had a great weekend! Ours was a very busy, but fun one :).

How far along: 16 weeks

Total weight gain: 6 lbs....eek!

Maternity clothes: No

Stretch marks: None

Sleep: I've been having some really strange dreams lately, which leave me pretty tired.

Best moment of this week: I was able to help at our church's VBS this week and the kids met their goal of raising $2500 to build a well in India with one of the ministries we support. One of the little girls in my group came up to me crying after the announcement and when I asked her what was wrong, she replied, "I'm just so happy! I can't believe we helped them get their well!" It was precious...and had this pregnant lady in tears too!

Miss anything: Living without back pain! Work, lifting Silas, and the occasional run are killing my back :(

Movement: Still small flutters every once in awhile.

Food cravings: Anything...which probably explains the weight gain...haha! I've become that person that finishes their child's food.

Anything making you queasy or sick: No, even cheese in small amounts has gotten better!

Have you started to show yet: Yes, I feel huge!

Gender: 2 more months until we know!

Labor signs: No

Belly button in or out: In

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or moody most of the time: I've been really emotional this week, even ugly crying at church this morning.

Looking forward to: Playing in the kiddie pool and maybe the splash pad with Silas since it will be in the 90's all week.

Speaking of my "ugly" crying, you should listen to this sermon, "What Changes Us: a Daddy or a Drill Sergeant?". It was an amazing sermon, perfect for Father's Day. Happy Father's Day to all the Daddies out there, but especially to Adam, Bill Davis, and my sweet, Baldy...I hope you're celebrating in heaven!

Baby Bumpdate: 15 weeks

It's been a pretty eventful week for us over here: Silas had superhero week at his daycare, I started back at the pediatric clinic 2 days a week for food school, Adam started a new job (he's still at UPS and full-time school also), and we had crazy weather.

Friday and Saturday were big days for little man! Friday afternoon became super eventful after a play date was canceled :(.

Our first stop was Krispy Kreme for free doughnut day. Being pregnant, I couldn't just stop with one so I decided to buy us a half dozen as well. Within 5 minutes, the three of us consumed all 9 doughnuts...I don't know whether to feel proud or ashamed..haha!

After getting Silas all sugared up, we took him to EarlyWorks to run out some energy.

Lily the Cow is pretty fast apparently.

Of course it rained like crazy most of the day on Friday and Silas couldn't resist playing in the puddles with his good friend, Summer.

They just kept running back and forth through the giant puddles.

 Happy boy :)

 Rest break.

Summer helped Silas "row" a boat :)

We did some painting next for a very belated Mother's Day project for my Mom. Silas did really well with the paintbrush, but most of it went on his body.

Silas also slept in his toddler bed for the first time! He had crawled out of his crib for the fourth time on Friday and sweetly knocked on his own door for us to let him out.

The only picture we didn't get from Friday was Silas eating whole crawfish at the Po Boy Factory; we were super messy from the process.

Yesterday, we drove up to Lake Nickajack to spend the day with my family and for Silas to fish for the first time.

 Slimy fish, smiley boy.

It's pretty hot on the boat so someone became a little cranky.

Grandpa showing him the ropes.

 Family picture!

 The fisherman with their haul.

Poor guy actually fell asleep on the boat!

And now, on to Baby #2's week!

Big brother trying to share his truck.

How far along: 15 weeks

Total weight gain: 3 lbs

Maternity clothes: Not yet

Stretch marks: Thankfully, no.

Sleep: Still getting up once or twice a night.

Best moment of this week: There were a ton of sweet moments with Silas who has been extra cuddly and verbal.

Miss anything: Energy, but it's getting better.

Movement: I felt a small flutter the other night!! :)

Food cravings: Fresh picked strawberries with Nutella....oh.my.word!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still avoiding cheese, but otherwise no. This pregnancy has been so much better!

Have you started to show yet: Yes! Adam even mentioned the other day, "There's a baby in there!"

Gender: No clue.

Labor signs: No.

Belly button in or out: Still in for the moment.

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or moody most of the time: This has been a really good week, so happy :)

Looking forward to: VBS at church, even though we only get to go one day.

Hope everyone has a good Monday tomorrow!
