Oh Baby!!

Adam and I always knew we wanted children, but never really knew when the time would feel "right". The Lord started working on our hearts back in November of last year after we sold our house and had spent some time around some sweet, little girls of our friends here in Huntsville and in St. Louis. So we prayed and asked for God to bless us with a baby.

On January 18 at 6:00 in the morning, I found out we were pregnant! I was shocked to say the least. Adam told me that day he already had a suspicion I was pregnant (apparently he could tell a difference in my temperature and I was yelling at the TV...Biggest Loser is emotional for me).

Our first belly photo; no baby belly, just lovely, pregnancy bloat!

Adam wanted in on the belly photo...and maybe to show off his mustache!

I don't have any pictures of weeks 7-11 for a few reasons: we were out of town two of those weekends and "morning" sickness hit me so hard, I could barely get off the couch on the weekends when we usually take these pictures. Seriously, nothing can describe how incredibly awful you feel when first pregnant, I would randomly burst into tears because I felt so bad. Adam says I didn't smile much during those weeks; that was a hard time for him too.

This is from our first ultrasound. I know it only looks like a gummy bear, but isn't our baby already so cute?!

By week 12, I was finally able to clean my house a little before feeling like I needed a nap!

This was taken the day after I ran 10 miles with my friend, Angie. We are running our third half marathon together April 28! She is helping me to stay motivated to continue working out during this pregnancy. Have I mentioned that Adam was a whopping 12 pounds when he was born?! I can't house or birth any 12 pounders, so we are working to keep this baby lean!

This is what I look like today. The belly is definitely baby! Our little one is the size of a lemon this week! I can't believe how fast babies grow; I am truly in awe of God's craftmanship!

Pregnancy cravings include anything salty or bold in flavor. And chips..oh how I love my chips! Anyone who knows me knows that this is the complete opposite of what I usually crave; I have the biggest sweet tooth, I would rather eat dessert than dinner! I think it's a good thing I don't crave sweets like I used to, my baby needs variety and healthy calories.

And on that note, I'm going to go eat a little bit of ice cream!
