One Month of Belly Pics

It has been over a month since my last post and life has just felt super busy. The belly sure does change quickly in that time. Here are the more recent belly photos.

Silas was the size of a turnip this week. I have never eaten one of those, but I remember them being in the classic version of the Three Little Pigs.

As you can see, my belly popped BIG time between week 17's photo. This was taken the day before Silas and I ran the Nashville Country Music Half-Marathon. Yes, I ran 13.1 miles up and down hills on a very hot day...it was so much fun! I had a blast! I made a shirt so others would know I was pregnant in case of emergency and I hoped it might garner sympathy and admiration :)

Silas and I finished the race in 2 hours 27 minutes and that included walking through water stations and waiting in line for a port-a-potty between mile 8 and 9. My best time for a half is 2:06 so I felt we did pretty good. I can't wait to tell him that he ran his first race when he was about 6 inches long.

Last week in the teens!! Silas was the size of an heirloom tomato when we left on our Babymoon (seperate post to come).

Week 20..our halfway point! This week I had to break down and buy a few maternity clothes. Shirts are getting shorter and the rubber band method on my regular shorts were not as comfortable. I could only bring myself to buy two pairs of shorts and two shirts; I really want to wear my regular clothes as long as possible. I have had to retire one pair of my scrub pants; it was ridiculous how undone they were to feel comfortable.

Look at my sweet, little boy's profile!! I think he already looks like his Daddy, which means I've got one handsome son! At his 20 week ultrasound, Silas was 12 1/2 ounces and his head measured in the 86th percentile (please don't be 12 pounds little man).

I call this his scary face picture. He didn't necessarily want to face the camera for awhile, but finally turned with some poking :). It looks like he has high cheekbones like his Daddy and I. We get to have our 3D ultrasound in about 6 more weeks and I can't wait to see a better picture of what he looks like!

I am currently 21 weeks, but have not taken a picture just yet...I'm feeling under the weather and haven't even updated the chalkboard. Silas is moving around so much and Adam has been able to feel him kick twice. Adam is so cute with him already; one night, he blew raspberrys on my belly and kept saying "Silas, do you feel that?" He is going to be such a great Daddy and I am so blessed!
